Soviets and Bikes

"This wheel is strong like motherland." (Credit: Author's archive)

Digging through the harddrive and this neat, little photo came up. No idea from where or when, but presumably the Second World War and these are some Soviet soldiers inspecting their bikes. And yes, I’m doing everything in my power to bring you in all that falls in the intersection between cycling (my new passion) and the Second World War (my job). See former posts on the Hitler Youth and bikes and Nazis stealing Ukrainian kids’ bikes.

Please don’t insinuate improper things about Loretta, my 10 speed, or Madelyn, my racing bike.
